Tagged

I swear I would never reply if I was tagged but I guess since it was Aunt Marilyn I will.
1. I am bored out of my mind with the kids at school. Should I fire the cleaning lady? No way, that's why I work!
2. I love Dr Pepper, if I don't get my Dr Pepper within 30 minutes of starting work, watch out. I don't care if you're bleeding from your eyes you will get no sympathy (maybe a little, but not much).
3. I hate being asked if the recession has hit our family and I love that I can answer "no" and state that with our type of careers we have job security, especially Travis.
4. I do not like College Algebra and think that subject should only be taught if you are getting your masters in Mathematics. I love that my dad can help me when I am failing and help me get a 96% on the final to boost my grade up to a B, yay!!!
5. I hate thinking up 7 facts that people don't know about me, now where's the secrets and mystery.
6. I do not like cooking from scratch but I like the results after I do it. I would much rather go to Costco and get those prepared meals and call that from scratch then to do it myself.
7. I hate that we can't call a Halloween party at school a Halloween party and a Christmas party a Christmas party we have to call it a Winter party. What gives, I think if you don't want to participate you should stay home that day?

Utah deer hunt

Future hunters of America.
Clay and Grandpa's deer.

Brett and the deer.
Fun after the deer was got.

These fish were pretty big.

Clay can reel the fish in but don't ask him to touch them.

Utah elk hunt

Bloody pictures ahead, beware.

This is the elk hunt in Utah.
Dad and Travis had a good time. One day on the hunt and the rest of the days
spent fishing and sightseeing.
Nice fish!

This is something you don't see ever. This is in Fishlake at Bowery. Awesome.

Travis wants to take up Turkey hunting now. There were tons of turkeys out there.

I believe this is over Boulder. What a pretty ride.

Nice!

Elk Hunt in Ely

Nice buck for the elk hunt. Isn't that how it goes?
Travis and his gear for the hunt. They had fun and got a good elk. Of course no pictures of the Ely elk, but we have the meat so he must have got something.

Taylin's family birthday

We had a party at the house for Taylin. All the family and friends from Las Vegas came. Travis made tons of mexican food. We had mexican for days, it was delicioso! We got a bouncer and played games. It was fun.Grandma Hardin, Grandpa Hardin, Tasey, Pat, Steve and Rhonda. We were glad that everyone was there and healthy.
The cake.

More pictures.
Bad picture. There's Shirfa, Cole and Kara.
Oh the cake. Who gets the biggest piece with the most frosting! It was yummee, also.

Remember steal the flag? I love that my kids love to play that and Ghost in the Graveyard!

Taylin's 5th birthday

Brooke and Taylin at the funnest party yet. Now Taylin is in kindergarten we can't just have a friend party we have to invite everyone in the class. We went to a Bounce U party a couple years ago for Clay's friend and had a blast. So we decided to do this for Taylin and her friends. This was a big indoor warehouse. It has four big bouncers to jump on and play.
The kids went wild. Bounce U took care of everything, it was nice!
This is Clay trying to pounce on a poor defenseless kindergartener. This little kid was pretty tough! Look at the sweat on Clay. All the kids were so sweaty.

Wyatt getting in on the action.
Taylin out of focus.

Finally food and drinks.
The brother to the princess.

One day Taylin will take a picture and not pull a funny face or be crying (I hope).
She did not want to wear the crown.

It was so fun to have Aunt Marilyn there. I'm sorry we didn't get to talk much. Thanks Nat and mom for helping.

Cake time.

Capitol Reef

Capitol Reef was fun. We planned to go just for lunch but ended up going on a couple of hikes and seeing a lot of wildlife. We were able to pick apples and have a nice picnic lunch.

Lunch, yummee.

Big tree.
Same big tree.

Clay climbing the apple tree to get an apple.
Taylin climbing Dad to get an apple.
Ahh the reward.

People call us crazy. We call it getting close to nature.

It was fun to get so close.

Scariest hike of my life so far. I use to love hiking. Now with kids I fear for my life and theirs. This rock was straight up and down and then the other side was the water fall.
I am holding on to them for my dear life. What a woose!

Mommy and doe with spots still.
Taking the boardwalk to the ancient petroglyphs.

Found a park on the way home. This is in Fremont in Wayne county at the old church.

Fish Lake ride

The beginning of the trek!

As soon as we got there the kids took off (and so did Travis or is that Annie Bangs?). ha-ha.

Fish Lake in style!

Here's the story. We had a big weekend planned for Lake Powell with Travis' family. Grandma and Grandpa Hardin asked if we would like to take their RV to Lake Powell and we agreed that it would be awesome. So about two days before we were to leave Rhonda and Tasey got sick and ended up in two different hospitals. The trip was cancelled more or less because if they didn't go we wouldn't have a boat and it just wouldn't be the same without them. So here we had this fun RV and a full tank of gas ($150 dollars later), totally packed with beach and swim wear and nowhere to go. So we thought where could we go that would be fun and was safe to drive to in the RV. We love Fish Lake and decided to go there. A quick change of clothes to winter clothes and we were off. Grandpa Joe was trekking in Utah and we decided to call him to see if he wanted to meet us. It happened that he was in Richfield at the time and said that he would save us a camp ground. So we were off.
Tay and Clay at the campground. They rode their bikes like there was no tomorrow. I remember riding our bikes and exploring the area so I was glad to see that they had fun as well.
On the bike path. One day we will venture to the other side of the lake. Maybe Jodi and Brent can lead us in that excursion!! (hint, hint)
Time for bed. Taylin slept here and Clay slept on the floor while Grandpa Joe slept in his tent.. What a trooper.
Bedtime videos

We were lucky to see the fall colors.
So on the second to last day we couldn't take the smell of each other anymore and decided to use the facilities to shower. Big mistake!! It's a closet that gets everything wet and you have to put quarters in the machine to get hot water. Well, did we know that people at Fish Lake are stingy with their quarters (after Labor day, to be fair) we had to travel both ends of the Lake to get 8 quarters. Grandpa Joe said he had plenty of time and that he rushed for nothing he enjoyed his shower. Well that's fine and dandy for one person but try to get 4 naked bodies in and out in 8 minutes! (door facing to the main highway mind you). It was an experience and we want to apologize now to any of the hunters we flashed. We know now to bring quarters!!

Ahhh the campfire.
Looking for deer. We saw lots.

Taylin and I for a walk by the lake.
Clay doing who knows what? No fair, that we had to hike to the bathroom except at night.

The ride home was still fun.

The poor passer byers got to see this image everytime they passed us.
Sometimes this view. We were wondering why we got honked at so much.
Then the fun! Thank goodness Grandpa was there. Travis only got sprayed once. Beware if you see a little hose for cleaning out the tubes, high pressure follows!!
