Newport Beach 2007

Yayyyy Newport Beach!! Taylin really had fun. She was so tired of me taking her pictures every second of the day. We spent the whole week at Mom and Dad's villa. It was so nice and relaxing. We hated to come home. This is at the beach. Clay really is a fish. He hit the boogie board and would not get off for nothing. I begged him to share with his Uncle Mckay and he finally did. That's Mckay and Tracy in the background. Probably Kayla on the left too, not sure.
Mckenna acting sooo cool with the boogie board. Needless to say the boogie board did not survive the entire vacation. It was well used and finally broke in half.
Taylin with one of her many seashells. We finally limited it to 5 for taking home. She took like 30 of the seashells from this unnamed beach. The next day we found out that it is a protected beach and you are not allowed to take any souvenirs. Ooops.

Kayla burrying Taylin. She loved it. We tried to bury Clay but he was too busy surfing.
The awesome Christensen family. We were sure glad to have them there to entertain the kids. Taylin played with her friend Brooke today and couldn't stop calling her Ginger. They will have some great memories.
Sunset on Newport Beach. Natalie, Tracy and Taylin. Everybody else was in the water.

We went to Knottsberry farm one day. We decided we wouldn't do that again in the summer. It was too hot. The kids had fun though.

Driving the truck.

Driving the train.

Riding the train. We were the last ones on and had to sit in the sun, notice the people in the nicely covered shade? It was alright, we had a light breeze.

The next day was the Angels game. They played the Detroit Tigers (Clay's little league team). Notice the shirt? We didn't get into one fight at all. It was Mormon something or other night and they had a stake choir sing the National anthem and a Mormon quartet come out for the 7th inning stretch for Take me out to the ballgame. It was fun.

Of course we had to have cotton candy and hot dogs...

and number 1 hands (or whatever they are called).

A lovely picture taken from Taylin. They had great fireworks after the game. I'll try and get the videos up. It was the best I ever saw. They have them every Friday night so if you ever get down there. Also we made it through the whole game.

Last day at the beach. Boo-hoo we were so sad but enjoyed the last day. Grandpa Joe got in many times and surfed the waves. We had the cameras ready in case we had a repeat of Grandpa Moss falling in the waves. Unfortunately or fortunately it did not happen. He kept up with the best of them.

Last day we had to trade the boogie board for a pink floaty ring. He still had fun.
Our little beach beauty. She loved Newport Beach but was happy to return to Las Vegas. Now for the exciting news... Mom and Dad suckered us in to buy a time share. Not really, Travis was really in to it and thinks it will only give us great family memories. It's gonna be great. It's a guaranteed family vacation for a week. Oh and if you get a call from Marriott villa's, you can thank me later. I had to give a list of family and friends for referrals to get extra points. So if I didn't call you to get permission sorry. Just know that I thought of each of you on vacation. Love ya!!!

4th of July, a little late

This was our weekend at the cabin in Panguitch Lake over the 4th of July. Taylin makes a horse out of anything. This time it was a hammer. She helped out a lot, hammering all the nails on the deck. We hung out on the deck and watched the deer come down the meadow each night. We saw two little "bambis" with their mommy. We are so lucky to have grandaparents with a cabin that is always so relaxing and fun to visit.
This is the view from the top of the trail at Panguitch Lake. Not sure what the mountain is called. Cedar Mountain or Brian Head. This is the kids collecting good walking sticks for one of our many hikes.

Hello, is anyone there. The lake in the background is Yankee meadow reservoir. Some day we will take the trail down. It's really scary though. One lane only, maybe that's what the phone is for... I'm coming down don't come up. Yah, that's it.

This is the long ride home after a fun week. They get along so well.

More vacation

No excuses

Fun days at the Ivie house. Sorry it's been so long, there's no excuse. We've been having fun!!! Clay is finished with baseball. He had a fun time and will do it again next year. He got to play all positions and learn what he likes. He's a great hitter and has finally got all the rules down.Nice Stance!!Taylin's my little rabbit. She will eat anything. Travis happenened to be cutting up salad ingredients and she took a big ol' chunk out of the cabbage. She loved it and ended up eating half the head.
Yummy!!!! Travis took Taylin up to Ely (Cave lake) during finals so I couldn't go and Clay was still in school. They had fun and caught lots of fish. This is the picture Taylin took, isn't it great?

This is Taylin with her fish. She is her Daddy's girl she does anything he does and loves to get dirty!!!

They rode the quad's around and ran into snow.

She loved eating the snow.Yet another fish at Cave Lake. It is really pretty up there.

Notice the shirt "Patience Tester" She does a great job. She has been so fun lately with her imagination and playing restaurant and house. It is amazing what she picks up from the big girls. Kinda scary too.
After finals we decided to go up and meet them and have some fun too. Well, we got up there late one night and came home the next day. Not a fun trip for us but it was good to get out of the city. Next time we'll stay longer.

We smuggled Keo up there too. Not too smart cause he took off after I let him off his leash. Luckily we found him and he did not go to far, he stayed close to the Lake.

Panguitch Lake in June

So for prosperity I have to post these pictures that I just found. They are from May 2007.
It was a good fishing trip.

Not sure what was illegal. I guess it doesn't matter since it was so long ago, right?
The funnest cabin in the world.

The funnest tire swing in the world.

The cutest little Davy crockets in the world.

I love these cutout pictures, especially when the kids aren't smiling!

Yay, horse ride. It was fun but boy were our butts sore afterwards.

Love the green hat that Taylin was suppose to be wearing?

Bryce Canyon

My how she has grown!

Easter 2007

Easter morning at our house. The Easter Bunny brought lots of yummy treats.

Taylin at Grandma Hardin's house for yet another easter egg hunt.

Taylin on the bus ride at Adventuredome in Circus Circus. Sounds like it will be closing soon so come and visit.

Airplane rides at Adventuredome.
Taylin and her best friend Brookie. They have fun together.

Fun times

We went to Barry Manillow!!! I know everybody is jealous and wish they had a great sister-in-law like me. Krista bought tickets for Rhonda and had an extra one because someone didn't want to see Barry, imagine that? It was soooo fun. I grew up with Barry on the eight track (Thanks Mom and Dad) I have lots of video
This was our snow for the season. Unfortunately we didn't make it up to the Utah snow so Cold Creek snow had to suffice. This is wyatt (Natalie's son) and Clay.

Taylin threw a million snowballs.

This is Dr Taylin. She loves to play dress up and pretend. She has enough imagination for all of us.

Bonnie Springs 2007

We had some fun over Spring Break with the Christensen girls (Ginger, Mckenna and Kayla with the peace sign). I made them go to Bonnie Springs with us. It's a little old mining town outside of Las Vegas that has a petting farm and an old ghost town. They had a mellodrama that I thought would be boring, but turned out to be very fun and entertaining.

A cute sign that I had to explain to Clay. He didn't understand. It was funny.

This cow was huge. Kayla and Mckenna are at least 5'8" if not 5'9". It was amazing.

This is part of the petting zoo. Taylin loved to pet the deer. You can pay 25 cents to buy food for them. It was fun to be that close.
This pond had ducks, swans and turtles, lots of turtles. They had a rock in the middle of the pond that was covered with these turtles. It was fun to watch them and again get close.
This is one of the last remaining merry go rounds, at least that I have seen. They had fun on it and got real dizzy.
This is Taylin and clay. They thought it was funny to be opposite.

This is Kayla and Mckenna, ever so cute!!!

Family picture 2007

We finally made it to the portrait studio. This was taken in January. Spring break is coming so hopefully I can post more pictures. Clay has started baseball and is real excited. He is the tallest on his team and hits the ball pretty far. It's fun to watch him.
